One of my fav. under rated U2 songs...

Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses

You're dangerous, 'cos you're honest.
You're dangerous, you don't know what you want.
Well you left my heart empty as a vacant lot
For any spirit to haunt.

You're an accident waiting to happen
You're a piece of glass left there on a beach.
Well you tell me things
I know you're not supposed to
Then you leave me just out of reach.

Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna drown in your blue sea?
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna fall at the foot of thee?

Well you stole it 'cos I needed the cash
And you killed it 'cos I needed revenge.
Well you lied to me 'cos I asked you to.
Baby, can we still be friends?

Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna drown in your blue sea?
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna fall at the foot of thee?

Ah, the deeper I spin
Ah, the hunter will sin for your ivory skin.
Took a drive in the dirty rain
To a place where the wind calls your name
Under the trees, the river laughing at you and me.
Hallelujah! Heaven's white rose
The doors you open I just can't close.

Don't turn around, don't turn around again.
Don't turn around your gypsy heart.
Don't turn around, don't turn around again.
Don't turn around, and don't look back.
Come on now love, don't you look back.

Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna drown in your blue sea?
Who's gonna taste your saltwater kisses?
Who's gonna take the place of me?
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna tame the heart of thee?

All I Want Is You - U2

You say you want diamonds on a ring of gold
You say you want your story to remain untold.
All the promises we make
From the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you.

You say you'll give me a highway with no-one on it
Treasure, just to look upon it
All the riches in the night.

You say you'll give me eyes in the moon of blindness
A river in a time of dryness
A harbour in the tempest.
All the promises we make, from the cradle to the grave
When all I need is you.

You say you want your love to work out right
To last with me through the night.

You say you want diamonds on a ring of gold
Your story to remain untold
Your love not to grow cold.
All the promises we break, from the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you.

Hey guys,
Though of sharing something I sent to my SF tech team.

The mission of Sonic Edge, which heads up Sonic Festival, is "To reach a broken and disaffected generation, particulary in the arts and music subculture, with the love of God."

Reaching out does mean preaching the gospel to the yet-to-be-saved's. However, preaching of the gospel is not the only factor. I would like to refer it as the beginning of reaching out. It is necessary, important and essential, but reaching out does not stop there. How do we know preaching of the gospel is so essential, especially in Paul's ministry?

"For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion; for woe is to me if I do not preach the gospel." 1 Cor 9:16 (NASB)

Preaching of the gospel does not require a lot of preparation, but it does require one's humility and willingness. As I write all these, I am also a person who's on the journey of learning. I wish to share my experiences with all of you. I understand the difficulty of sharing God's good news to the yet-to-be-saved's, particulary to those close to us. However, many a times, the 'obstacle' is usualy ourselves.

"Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest."" Matt 9:37-38 (NASB)

Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself told His disciples to beseech, to ask of God the Father, to pray for more workers into the field for the harvest. What does this means to you and me? It does mean firstly we need to pray. However, what do we pray about? From this verse, we can see clearly that Jesus Christ wants us to pray for more workers, than the harvest! The gospel can be shared through the most basic ways; showing of REAL care, concern and love through practical actions to another being, especially to people who are unloveable. Through intimate association and building up of relationship, we will then be in a good position to share God's love for those who have wandered off His love.

After that, then we have to also ask ourselves, are we ready to die for God to be made known to all man? It may not necessarily means a physical death, but it definately does mean self denial and self sacrifice. We sing and profess our love for God and how we trust in His faithfulness. I believe this is a true test to our words and profession.

"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Phil 1:21 (NASB)

Lastly, God is calling out for His people to respond to His great commission.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matt 28:19-20 (NASB)

God is calling out to you and I, do you hear it?

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!"" Isa 6:8 (NASB)

What will your response be?

This whole week, my blog will pay a short tribute to FSF this week.

furtherseemsforever News

After seven years as a band with various lineups, 3 records and over a thousand shows, FSF agree it is time to move on to other things in our lives. We have enjoyed touring the world over these years, and meeting all of our incredible fans. All of the members of FSF remain the best of friends and look forward to the future, whatever it may bring.

Further Seems Forever will be playing our final shows in early 2006. They will be with the full electric band. We will be doing spot shows in various cities across the country and Canada. We will do our best to play as many places as possible but several members now have full-time jobs and other full time commitments. We hope to see all our fans out at the shows and look forward to playing for you one more time.

We won’t be recording a new record but there will be some unreleased material coming out as well as a DVD with live footage and videos.

We would like to thank all the people and bands who helped our band over the years and made it possible for us to do what we love. Without them behind the scenes we simply couldn’t have done this. Special thanks goes out to our families whose love, encouragement and understanding made it possible to be in this band.

We will be keeping our MySpace page current and you can check that page as well as this site for new info on shows, the DVD and any other FSF related news.

We wish everyone a great new year and hope to see you soon.
